Throwing Sets & Repetition
This focused masterclass includes two 3-hour classes and a 2-hour self-guided practice session. You’ll build the core skills needed to throw consistent sets. Learning how to measure accurately, improve speed and efficiency, document forms, and apply practical methods for making multiples with intention and control.

Class 1 – Throwing with Purpose
Learn the fundamentals of throwing multiples. How to plan with purpose and shape your vision. Each class begins with a focused demo to set the pace. 

Class 2 – Trimming

Learn how to trim for consistency and elevate your form. We’ll explore shaping profiles, refining foot rings, and efficient trimming workflow.

Upgrade your trimming game with the Tungsten L Shaped Trimming Tool – razor sharp and incredibly versatile. It’s a staple for any serious potter looking to elevate their trimming. Normally $65, this tool will be available to students for $50.

One 2-hour solo studio session (booked flexibly over the weekend) – Take time to practice, book in your 2 hour casual session within the times available over the weekend. 

Skill Level:
Beginners Course and above. 
You should already be able to centre, pull walls, and shape basic forms on the wheel.

Supplies – While in the studio, you will have access to our Studio/Community tools.

Firing Fees:
To keep your experience focused and flexible, we offer discounted kiln services:
$7 per kg for bisque
$7 per kg for glaze

Meet Your Instructor
Isaac Gould – Ceramic Artist & Co-Owner

Inspired by flowing shapes and Japanese culture, Isaac’s large-scale vessels and water sculptures explore balance, precision, and form. He holds a BFA in Ceramics (2009) from the U.S. and brings over a decade of experience as a designer and entrepreneur.

As co-founder of Terraform Studio, Isaac’s teaching is focused and supportive—helping advancing potters refine their process and throw with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
