MUDDY CODE
For Studio Members
This ‘Code of Ethics’ was born from the incredible culture that manifested naturally at our studio. None of us are perfect but if we do our best, that is already perfect.
We expect each new member to become a caretaker of this culture & embody these very same values.
Muddy Code
help us keep the studio a haven of kindness & creativity
Be kind to others.
Surround eachothers’ uncertainties and struggles in warmth.
Speak well/fair/constructively of others, always.
Seek understanding & communication in conflict.
Don’t let politics & differences divide us.
Remember that we all like what we like – life is colourful.
Keep my shelves presentable and restricted to the materials I need to create my artworks.
Aim to help encourage others to seek what they feel they need to thrive – water, food, sunshine, quiet time, a creative challenge, etc.
Treat eachother as a family of creatives – knowing we don’t always get along – but we know how to give space to others and be constructive.
Save feelings/behaviour that doesn’t uplift others for a time when you are not at the studio (ex make time to catch up for a coffee with a friend).
