Welcome to your weekly creative clay sesh. Learn the fundamentals of hand building, and create some pottery for your home! Join us for our 3 & 6 Week Hand Building Pottery Course, on the Mandurah Foreshore! Class times available on Sundays or Wednesdays (10am-12:30pm)!

3 WEEK PROGRAM

6 TOTAL SESSIONS
Three – 2.5 hr Pottery Classes (ages 13 +)

Three – 2 hr. extra practice sessions
3 WEEK PROGRAM
WEEK 1 – create 2 handcrafted cups/mugs or small bowls, using one of the oldest pottery techniques – pinch method .
WEEK 2 – create a large coil vase or serving bowl. Learn how to extrude & attach coils + the basics of hand embellishment (handles, underglazing, carving & sculpting).
WEEK 3 – create 2 slab plates/bowls. Learn how to roll slabs, use press/drape forms & to the art of sgraffito (carving) with slip.
You choose your learning day.
Small group of 7 students, on Wednesdays or Sunday (10am-12:30pm)!
You choose your weekly practice time.
Book your practice session anytime during normal business hours (except during workshops/private events).
Goal of the Course – Begin to master the fundamentals of hand building. Each week, the techniques you will learn, will increase in level of difficulty. At the end of the course, your goal is to finish 4 pieces (included, additionals are +$10 per piece).

Six – 2.5 hr Pottery Classes (ages 18 +)

Seven – 2 hr. extra practice sessions
w/ a bonus session to bring a friend to!
6 WK PROGRAM
WEEK 1 – create 2 handcrafted cups/mugs or small bowls, using the oldest pottery technique – pinch pots!

WEEK 4 – create a slab cylinder + mug. Learn how to build up with slab, using templates, + lid construction. Learn how to combine techniques & create advanced forms. explore your creativity, as you develop your own idea. What do you want to make? In this lesson, you will begin to sketch & develop your personal style project.
WEEK 5 – Turn your sketch into reality, as your instructor support you in the execution of project, with your new skill library.
WEEK 6 – basics of glazing, glazing combos & firing.
*** BISQUE BREAK BREAK: ***
We break for 3 weeks (between week 5 & 6) to allow pieces to dry, get bisque fired & ready for glazing & underglazing in week’s 6 lesson. During this week(s) you will get a BONUS session for you & a friend – for free – to show off your mad skills!

COST OF COURSE
Cost of 3 Wk Course: $440 for 6 sessions
Cost of 6 Wk Course $690 for 13 sessions
INCLUDES:
All your clay, instruction, access to our studio for practicing, use of our tools & equipment and firing & glazing for your favourite artworks (trimmed, polished, bisque fired, glazed & high fired).

Makeups – If you need to make up a class during your course, you will get to choose 1 of 3 options…
1) Makeup your lesson in another Group Class (provided there is space & the content/ages taught matches)
2) Opt for an extra Practice Session instead
3) Private/semi-private Makeup Lesson (We have discounted these Private Lessons to our Course Students. From $149 to $80. These can be booked on ANY day/time that suits you). This cost can be shared amongst more than 1 student needing to make up a lesson.
